Trauma changes your brain.

It can never take away your authentic self. You will always be the person you were created to be.

Trauma alters the way your brain processes and responds to information.

#1: Hippocampus, is important for learning and memory. Trauma causes it to be small and makes it challenging to learn new things.

#2: Amygdala, the fear center. Trauma leads to the strengthening of this part of the brain resulting in increased storage and recall of traumatic memories.

#3 PreFrontal Cortex, controls behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. This is the "think before your speak" part of your brain. When it is weakened you will struggle to suppress impulses.

Allow yourself to be curious about your internal experiences.
